A New Year, A New Blog ~ Uniquely His!

May I introduce you to my new blog, "Uniquely His." For some time, I've been toying with the idea of changing my blog name and my url. After much prayer and help from my sweet husband, Rob, I have taken the initial steps toward this endeavor.
Can you believe I've been blogging now for almost 4 years? My initial purpose for blogging has been two fold: (1) a personal outlet by which to share things I've learned with fellow believers and (2) provide resources by which to build up the body of Christ. Hence the name, "Oikodemeoo Ministries," which means in the Greek, "to build up," or "to be a house builder." I can honestly share that God has been faithful and He has allowed me to be a vessel of encouragement to others. I just took a peek at my counter on my other blog and it is at 4915 which is exciting. Another way I'm encouraged is that when I type in "Oikodemeoo," in a Google search, folks can check out my blog and this is truly a blessing.
One of the drawbacks to having a blog title with a Greek name is remembering how to spell it and also how to pronounce it. In order to ensure that my earlier postings, resources, blog lists and so forth remain in tack, I have opted to start fresh with a new URL and a new Blog Name. As I pondered what to call my blog, I was looking through one of my books and saw the phrase,"Uniquely His," and I knew immediately this was going to be the name of my new blog. I'm a wife, a Mom, a homeschooling educator, a student ministry teacher, and enjoy a variety of activities. My blog will be a reflection of who I am and how God is at work in my life.
I'm certain as I work on this transition from one blog to a new blog, it will take time, energy and lots of creativity. I must confess that my initial thoughts were, "this is too much to do." Rob has given me such excellent advice and guidance so as to make this journey easier. He also has advised me to eventually phase out my Oikodemeeo Ministry blog which I plan to do unless the Holy Spirit reveals to me something differently.
As I close, here's a fantastic passage that reminds me of my purpose as a child of the Most High King.  One of my favorite Bibles to read is the Amplified. Here's Ephesians 2:10 from the Amplified Bible, "We are God's [own] (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good line which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]."

Let's begin this journey together!
